英語翻譯需要避免哪些誤區?

　　誤區一：重語法、輕思想。發現很多同學錯誤的理解了老師在翻譯復習時講到句法以及搭配的意義。老師之所以要講各種知識點，是為了讓學生更好的理解原文，而并非是翻譯的時候完全局限于詞匯和句法。

　　Mistake 1: emphasis on grammar and neglect thought. I found that many students misunderstood the meaning of syntax and collocation that the teacher talked about in translation review. 　　誤區二：結構和原文保持一致比較保險。事實上，英語和漢語是兩種完全不同的語言。首先，英語是一門“形合”語言，語言意義是通過語言的形式來表達的，而漢語是一門“神合”語言。其次，英語和漢語的思維方式也是不一樣的。以英語為母語的人的思維是“直線”型思維，而中國人的思維確是螺旋型的思維。有些英語句子，如果嚴格按照原句的結構翻譯就會使譯文很蹩腳。

　　Mistake 2: keep the structure in line with the original. In fact, English and Chinese are two completely different languages. Secondly, English and Chinese have different ways of thinking. The thinking of native English speakers is linear, while that of Chinese is spiral. 　　誤區三：忽略語境，直接翻譯。發現有的同學認為，考研英語中的翻譯部分時間總共才20分鐘左右，閱讀內容通常難度大，時間就緊迫，不如不看文章，直接翻譯句子。其實，從翻譯所處的位置來看，閱讀也是翻譯部分要考察的內容之一。另一方面，如果缺乏對原文大意的把握，譯文很可能基調和原文不一樣。缺乏對前后相鄰句子的理解，對需要翻譯的句子的理解很可能就是斷章取義。認為“譯文準確”也就喪失了其基礎。

　　Mistake 3: ignore context and translate directly.
